Puppy Playtime With Petmate

booda_bones

What a crazy month this has been in our pet family. First Ms.Jessie had a fast growing mammary tumor that weighed 14 ounces! In just over a week she went from an amazingly healthy 12 year old dog to a very sick dog in extreme pain. I was sure all hope was lost just as our package from Petmate came in. After lots of tears we decided to have her surgery (spending my entire first paycheck). Then what seems like two very long weeks ago our new friend Sparky came down with Parvo and the tears flowed again. With all the dog grieving over the constant change in this house no one wanted to  with anything. I'm glad to say that as Sparky slowly recovered from his Parvo Jessie got her stitches oout and more then bounced back to life! Chewing is her thing she really doesn't chew on this she should not but even as her teeth are mostly missing now she loves a good treat. So the first thing that we were able to review in our box of goodies was Booda Bones and they were very popular. Infact they kept her from removing all her stitches and she went crazy in recovery. About the same time, before Sparky started getting sick, we had given him a try at some of his new friends to try out.

roopers small squirrel_MiloThese new Roopers gave me the biggest laugh and if ou look at the picture you will know why. They are the classic Booda rope all wrapped into a goofy looking animal. They are to big right now for Sparky to carry about but he really loves chewing on them, and honestly my fingers and toes are really appreciating not being bitten any longer. Unfortunately I am afraid to allow the other dogs to play with these even after much washing due to the Parvo but at least he is really enjoying them :O) The last toy we have been playing with Koda and Sparky have both been enjoying :O) I feel the worst about.lol They ripped off his tag and I can't find the exact toy on their site but he is exactly like their but these Tuff Plush toys are what he is. Our is a hippo and lots of fun! Made of a thick material his head is stuffed with a fabric body and includes a squeeker. Our puppies are having more and more fun with these great toys as they recover. I have been so greatful to work with such a great company as Petmate. If you have cats and would like to read my review on their products please head on over HERE.

Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need:
2 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of Water
1 Package Sugar Free Jello
A candy Thermometer

Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work right.lol Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like licorice.lol After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I like to dust mine …

The Children's Place Review and Giveaway

Recently I was lucky enough to be given a chance to review The Children's Place. With summer time in full force here in West Texas getting some new summer time clothing was not only a needed thing but a fun thing to do. We decided to try out The Children's Place online ordering. I had never done this before and with a packed schedule it was very handy! My daughter loved sitting don and being able to pick out an entire outfit for under $25. In fact she was not only able to get an out fit but to additional pairs of shorts! Not only was ordering fast and easy but we received our clothing in 2 days. Considering we hit a record high 103 degrees yesterday it came none to soon! Here is the adorable outfit that she picked out :O) she had to model it of course! Butterfly Shirt $6; Matching Shorts $6;Flip Flops to go with her out fit $3.50. The excitement of picking her outfit herself Priceless.
She really had so much fun with this and she loves her new flips flops(because the 5 pairs she…

Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway

Recently I was given an amazing opportunity to review a new product by Rubbermaid called the Hidden Recycler. As a family who does a lot to help our planet in many ways this was an exciting opportunity. I loved the fact the Rubbermaid not only made a product that would help my family continue their recycling more easily but they reduced packaging to merely a cardboard sleeve that I could in turn recycle. I quickly opened the package like a kid at Christmas and discovered it would not fit my kitchen cabinets :O( we are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and the layout of my old cabinets would not hold the brackets.  So as I sat down to gloat about not being able to use this amazing product, and I notice two holes on the lid and made a massive dash for the directions. Sure enough I can attach it with screws! (Which ironically took me forever to find in our construction materials) I found the perfect place for it in my laundry room and began putting all of Rubbermaid's claims to the …
