   It's no secret that the last 2 months life has become nothing short of insane. We went from a one income household, to a two income, insane shuffling, craziness condo lol. Without the cool condo to live in. Last week I was given an opportunity to take time out of my life and do something that was probably long, long over do!


       Now growing up as a kid popcorn and fort build were kind of how we spent our weekends. We would gather the chairs from all over the house, throw in a couple blankets and watch movies. Now my sister and I were never best friends as kids :p but it was a time that I think my mom must have loved most, when we would come together and laugh.
     Here in West Texas we have had a whirlwind winter already. Personally I think Mother Nature has probably lost her mind! With 5 inches of snow falling we headed outside for snowmen and snow angels! Then I thought what could be a more perfect way to warm up then to pull out the blankets, chairs, tables, and popcorn and have some good old fashion family fun! It seems like with the busy life that our family is trying to grow into helping my children use their imaginations has sadly got pushed to the back burner. With my oldest being 12 I often don't know how much more mommy driving him crazy he can take, but you throw in just a little PopSecret Caramel microwaveable popcorn and it is an instant love event here :) Although I have to say my daughter is a little more photogenic lol.

My Plan Day 5- I Guess Chocolate Isn't My Friend :,(

Well that just made my birthday even just a little more sad.lol I lost just 0.2 pounds today which means while not extremely reactive I did have some amount of reaction. My husband insisted we spend the day celebrating my birthday. So I had my normal breakfast and tried to do my best at eating. I'm sure there will be a gain and I will start my day 6 as soon as I get back down to 125.2 pounds :) life is to short to not enjoy, just enjoy it sparingly.

My PLan Day 4-Down 1.5 MORE POUNDS!





     I have to say every morning I wake up unsure of what the scale will say. Adding in Chicken yesterday I was really scared this morning because, well, I'm pretty sure if I have to go vegan I would have to have bail money ready lol. Getting on the scale this morning my body told me to chill that it would never do that to me ;) now no 2 ounces isn't a lot and I will have to test and slowly increase those amounts as a test but it was enough o make me happy! Breakfast and lunch were just more of the same old same.lol Nothing exciting to share with you there :p however for lunch I made an amazing garlic, rosemary and chickpea hummus! Now the book says it is VERY important to make your hummus this day and I am glad I did it is SUPER easy.

YUMMY HUMMUS

1/3 pound dried chickpeas
1 cloves garlic
Dried Rosemary
Enough water to have a little more then double your chickpeas

Just put it all in a pot and boil it till most of the liquid is gone. Throw it in the blender and turn it on. TADA!

     Now I won't lie today was my birthday and it was a little hard knowing that there would be no cake today....there would be no alcohol and I wouldn't get my favorite meal, but I did get 1 ounce of dark chocolate. Then I got a massive headache :( pretty sure that is a bad sign for the scale tomorrow. Today ended in sadness, the only positive I saw and I lay in bed was that at 32 I was not smaller then I have been in 8 years.

My Plan Day 3-Down 1 more pound!

   
      Wow I have to say waking up the morning of the last of the cleanse phase and being down 6.4 pounds already I just can't wrap my head around how this has happened. Breakfast, lunch, and snak were all pretty uneventful today.lol I am a creature of habit and this book says that is bad.....but so far I just keep eating the same things and it is a lot of carrots haha. The excitement for the day though is I got CHICKEN BREAST WOOHOO! Now I was shocked how much 2 ounces of chicken really was. I wanted to start on the slow side of the recommendation because well....... I'm not really that big of a person. At 5'7" I am at 126.6 pounds today and what started as a 10 pound weight loss goal I am now completely unsure of my goal. I guess my goal is what my body wants it to be :p. That really seems to be the thing is we gain weight and I guess the numbers in our head all spin.This time my plan isn't about loss though it is about health! Now many of you have heard me talk about my involvement with Plexus which I LOVE....we about 5 pm tonight I started getting lightheaded so even though I said I was going to cut it out till it could be tested I had a Plexus Slim about 30 minute before dinner to help my blood sugar levels. I guess we will see how that reflect on the scale tomorrow huh :/

My Plan Day 2- Down Another 1.6 pounds!

   
      All I have to say is wow! I thought surely after yesterdays HUGE weight loss I would be lucky to see the scale budge at all let alone that much. While I do I have to say I try to follow The Plan diet as much as possible I have made a couple modifications due to availability of items and money. The one thing I have noticed is this book could be expensive to follow to a T. I am not taking supplements and couldn't find detox tea but ALWAYS ALWAYS start my morning with two ice cold glasses of water with some lemon in it :)

Breakfast today I did NOT make a smoothie out of my items lol. I chewed and chewed and chewed my flax seed and made a smoothie out of my rice milk and blueberries though :). Why you may ask.....well I hate blueberries lol, and while I completely understand the importance of including them in a diet, like a small child the quicker I can get them down the better! I think the important thing is I got all my items in my stomach ;).

Lunch was soup, it's been freezing so soup is great. I have to say I have eaten so many carrots and as I look through the book the promise of carrots for every day is a little overwhelming. Now I didn't realize at the time I completely miss my sunflower seeds with this meal which I probably would have enjoyed! And on top of that I cannot force myself to eat an avocado :/

Snack was another first for me.....yes in 31 years I had NEVER had a raw pear! I have to say it was pretty good lol. At least I added something new for me into my diet today. That is the hardest part of this plan is most of these things have never passed my lips and I am nothing short of a little scared of many of them.

Dinner was gross......yeah I know that is awful to say but I didn't enjoy the kale on day 1, reheating it didn't make it any better, and plain brown rice......well it didn't do as much for me as I would have hoped lol. The beat and carrot salad was still surprisingly good and most of my meal seemed to consist of it because I couldn't gag all my kale down.

Now I have to say that the last two days weren't as hard as many people had said, I'm not sure if that is because I had given up caffeine, soda and alcohol 4 weeks ago or I had just worked my fear up so high that it is easy lol. I actually feel really great and beside a little sleepy probably even feel better already, if nothing else I am more then 5 pounds lighter already!

My Plan Day 1-Down 3.8 pounds!

So I have been working for some time to lose the weight that keeps growing around my middle. As a woman we all know that is the worst place for it to flock to. I mean go to my boobs or butt and we can work with that, but the middle is unattractive an unhealthy! I decided to give The Plan by Lyn-Genet Recitas a shot. This year I am giving myself the gift of health plain and simple. And after watching reviews, listening to podcasts, and reading books I thought THIS would be the best place to start. So on to day 1 and how it went for me :)

Day 1
Breakfast- I had in my mind I would not be able to eat the granola on The Plan.....Soooo I had a brilliant idea to make a smoothie out of all my breakfast ingredients. Let's just say I am not going to be winning a noble peace prize ANY TIME SOON! It turned into an instant blob of jelly nastiness.lol So breakfast didnt go so well and after adding over a cup of water I chugged down, while gagging, my creation. Now I do have to say it kept me full till lunch!

Lunch-Now lunch was pretty good, I had the Carrot Ginger soup that The Plan calls for. Now I really think I am going to have to play with the spices a bit more :) I usually rely on the package to spice things for me and didn't add enough, but on a bitter cold day a big hot bowl of soup with some yummy brocoli really hit the spot. Now I did forget to eat my half of a pear this day. :/ oooppppsss I wish I had eaten it by 2 pm lol.

Snack- Snack was just a half of an apple, which no isn't a lot but it was just enough to fill the empty void in my tummy.

Dinner-No dinner is where I wanted to cry! I'll admit I have never had a mushroom, never had a beet, and never had kale! To top that all off I hate carrots lmao. But I prepared my food and choked most of it down.lol I am really not a fan of kale it really burns my tongue. I do have to admit the carrot and beets were probably the best part of the night.

So yesterday was rough and I went to bed feeling really hungry! I guess I can say it paid off BIG TIME when I stepped on the scale this morning and was down 3.8 pounds!
