Girl Scouts Growing Good Manners

When working with younger Girl Scouts sometimes you need a hands on activity to help them learn. Recently I discovered a great craft from Oriental Trading that helped open the conversation of good manners up to my girls. It can be hard for Daisies to learn to say please, thank you and even things like excuse me. It was fun see that as we built these that built these fun crafts the girls would start to understand the importance of using good manners.
     I love Oriental Trading's craft projects for so many reasons. They always come with great step by step directions, extra pieces(because lets face it when you are working with little kids sometimes they get lost), and many of the craft projects there are no extra supplies required. When I signed my daughter up for Girl Scouts this year I never in a million years imagined that I would not only be the new troop leader, but also the cookie chair. Needless to say with cookie season half way over I have lost my mind! Holidays have to be my favorite days, whether it is Valentines Day or Christmas I love to make the most of them all. As you may have seen before I have an amazing chance to working a company who's name is familiar to many of Oriental Trading is on of the top companies for crafts, party materials and other fun items. I was lucky enough to get a fun Valentines Day craft that I was able to do with my Girl Scouts. The Valentines Day iPod Foam Adhesive craft was a perfect way to spend our meeting and make valentine's just a little more fun.

I have to say that over the last 3 weeks Ii have learned so much about myself. First and foremost I HATE BURPEES! Secondly angry music helps me get through :) on that note today the challenge is to do 35 Burpees and 200 Standing Side Crunches. Valentine's Day Gift Idea for Dad

Valentine's Day can be such a hard thing to buy gifts for especially if you are a new family. With the day to day struggles of just remembering to showing and feed yourself sometimes all you want to do is settle in with a nice soft pair of PJs and take a few quite moments with your special someone. Recently I was given the opportunity to review an adorable pair of Pajama pants that would make a great Valentine's Day Gift for Dads from Daddy & Company.  These pants we very well made and I had to laugh because in this picture it looks like your typical posing lady, well it is not ;) they are expectant mothers lol. Woohoo! We have made it to the 3 week mark and I really feel and I am looking pretty great. Well if you count that I still feel like I can barely move.lol For today's work out I am doing 200 Bicycle Crunches and 200 Punches! I have to say with the pain in my muscles today I do not feel guilty about my extra goodies yesterday.lol However it is Monday and it is cold so I am not looking forward to this at all. For today's challenge though we are going to do 75 Burpees and 4-60 Second Planks, yup get ready for that I'm gonna die feeling ;) remember it is ok to break your workout up throughout the day, I will lol. Happy Super Bowl! Yes I know I have been posting recipes that may not trim your waist line ;) and the Super Bowl isn't until later tonight so no excuses lets get to this workout before we eat, then maybe we can have a bit less guilt. I always have the biggest struggle working out on the weekend, I spent today selling Girl Scout cookies which personally I think is good enough.lol But I did my work out anyways :p. For today's challenge we are suppose to do 100 Tricep Dips and 50 Squat Jumps. THIS one was tough after being up on my feet all day.
