Qi Orthopedic Pillow

I don't know how many times I have talked about the pain I suffer in my back and neck. As you can imagine when I find a product that is said to be used to relieve pain I am always excited! Recently I was given the chance to review a product called the Qi Orthopedic Pillow. You may ask "How does QiPillow differ from ordinary pillows?" when researching I found many answers to this and thought I'd check them all out.
Support-"QiPillow is far more than an ordinary pillow. It provides scientifically tested orthopedic back support for people of all shapes and sizes." This seems very true :) You can inflate the pillow as big or small as you chose to. My husband, kids and I all have used this pillow and we have all enjoyed it. It is easy to inflate and deflate in just a couple of seconds and can go from person to person. Unless you are a germaphob lol."The QiPillow has been proven in a third party clinical study to help 91% of back pain sufferers relieve th…

Spanish / English Learning Program For Children

It seems as time goes on it is more and more important that children learn to speak a second language. These days you need it to raise your position in a company or even just understand a new friend you may meet. What a better time to learn then as a child, they actually say that it is easier to learn at a young age and can even improve brain development as a whole. Recently I got the chance to review a bilingual children's book and while this book is designed primarily as a English language course for children with Spanish as their mother language it was very easy for me to turn it into a learning experience for my children.
Now I will admit myself I don't speak Spanish so this was a learning experience for not only my children but myself. The colorful characters were enough to draw the attention of my children, while the easy to read text was great for me. It helped to teach phrases like "Where do you live?" as well has how to reply appropriately. With 39 fun pages …

Greener Cooking with Ozeri

As a wife an mother of three I obviously spend a lot if time cooking. Recently I received the chance to review a new pan from Ozeri.  The 10" Stainless Steel Earth Pan by Ozeri has a 100% PFOA-Free Non-Stick Coating called ETERNA that was developed in the USA. As a long term cast iron pan user this review for me would be very different.
You maybe be wonder what is PFOA-Free and why is it important?? Ozeri is the world's only stainless steel frying pan to achieve non-stick perfection without using PFOA. PFOA is a harmful chemical used in all traditional cookware. Conventional pans achieve their non-stick performance with the aid of PFOA (PerFluoroOctanoic Acid), which the EPA has classified as a 'persistent pollutant of the environment'. According to the EPA, once ingested PFOA is capable of remaining in people for a very long time, and has been shown to cause developmental and other adverse effects in laboratory animals.(Am I making your tummy tur…

13 Year Old Launches Vision For and From Children

Did you know that an estimated 19 million children worldwide are visually impaired, and of those affected, 12 million have conditions that could easily be diagnosed and corrected?
Lillian Pravda, an inspirational young lady born with a cataract who received sight-saving surgeries at only 9-weeks-old, founded Vision For and From Children at the age of eight. The organization raises money to provide children without access to eye care, surgery and vision services. After years of building awareness, the organization has raised nearly $100K and helped more than 24,000 children.
The now 13-year-old, award-winning philanthropist is taking her mission global with the launch of the "One Million $1 Bills" campaign which will provide the gift of sight to children through vision-related surgery, outreach and services. Funds raised from the campaign will also help build state-of-the-art ophthalmology centers in regions in the U.S. and beyond that currently do not have proper ey…

Stuff Your Stocking With Shoulder Buddies

This time of year my brain always turns to Christmas. Recently I was given the chance to review  a product that was not only fun, but something I really felt encouraged a positive outlook for children. Shoulder Buddies are a new children's toy that well, is pretty much as it sounds. They are fun little friends that you can collect and take with you. With the help of their magic coin they sit on shoulder and from what I hear they can even share their "smarts" with you. Smarts?? Like all of us Shoulder Buddies were designed with a special characteristic.
We have really enjoyed our new Shoulder Buddy friend. The funny thing is my 11 year old has really taken to it, he has named him Bob as a replacement to his female name.lol I really think this toy gives kids so many things, not only is it fun and an attention getter, but sometimes I think it is something safe to talk to.
You can find out more about Shoulder Buddies on Facebook HERE or Twitter HERE . T…
