Workouts On Demand Review and Giveaway!

Nothing is more important then getting healthy! Doing the same workout day in and day out though can be such a bore. Research has shown that if your workouts are boring you are less likely to stick with them. Recently I was giving what perhaps was one of the most needed reviews that perhaps I have ever encountered. I had really been in a slump and infact was even starting to gain weight again despite my "best" efforts when I was approached by a company called Workouts On Demand.

In life there is always something going on. Whether you are worked to the bone, working out to much or even struggling to sleep. The problem is finding a way to fix the problem you have. Honestly sometimes I feel like I suffer a little bit of everything. Recently I was given the chance to review a group of products called Functional Beverage Shots by Body Works.

Gardening in West Texas-Week 3

There really isn't a whole lot to report this week. I think because of the cold night growth has been pretty limited. It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday at 6s degrees and snow will be falling with blizzard conditions today! I hope it does not kill my garlic. The seedlings are still inside so they should be fairly safe. Although it gets a bit of a chill where they are they will not hit freezing temperatures :). There is still a lot of plowing to do and that darn crab grass needs more pulling! In a couple weeks we will spread our first batch of compost. Here are a couple pictures for the week. How is the weather where you are??
Most of our flowers are getting stronger and thriving! Wish that last row would grow.

L'Oreal Paris Magic BB Cream

I will confess that in 30 years I have never owned makeup of my own. In fact I think I could count the number of times I had worn makeup. Turning 30 this year my skin sadly just isn't as picture perfect as it use to be. Starting into makeup later in life then most women I was excited to get the chance to review a new product. L'Oreal Paris Magic BB Cream was something to me that was pretty exciting.

Krill Oil Review and Giveaway

I am sure you have heard me talk constantly this year about how my family is really making the effort to improve our health. Both my husband and myself have a poor family history as far as health goes and honestly I really want to break that cycle now while we still can. I have so many goals and dreams for the future and I would like to actually be able to see them through! Recently I was given the opportunity to review a product that many of you may have heard about Krill Oil. Everest Nutrition’s Krill Oil is extracted from Krill living deep within the waters surrounding the Antarctic.

Gardening in West Texas-Week 2

Wow I can hardly believe it is the second post already for the season :) My little seedlings are going in full force and the sun is out and shining. It was nearly 70 degrees here yesterday and if the wind would stop it would be perfect! If you have ever been here to West Texas though you would know this time of year that isn't going to happen.lol I questioned myself a lot this week if starting a garden early was a great idea, but as it gets warmer and warmer I know that it was a good plan. Here is what the garden is looking like right now!
I am sad to see the geese leaving but that means the time is right for planting :)

Wearever-Diabetic Socks, Bedding and More! Plus Giveaway:)

It is a fact of life that let's face it none of can avoid, Getting Older! With age comes many lovely things including poor circulation and even incontinence. recently I was introduced to a company called Wearever, now I know what you are thinking, I am not that old right? Well while I do not have incontinence problems yet, we all have those moments as mothers where even a sneeze can bring worry. I did not however review their underwear this time. I have the opportunity to review their diabetic socks, which are great for people with poor circulation like myself. Made of 100% cotton their diabetic socks are made by Buster Brown. They have been designed for maximum comfort and durability. As I mentioned they are great for people with poor circulation, but they are also great for easily irritated skin and are made with no elastic or synthetics. The seamless design of Buster Brown cotton socks with cushioning improve comfort, reduce binding, and eliminate skin irritation. I love these socks! Now to me they do run just a little big but I find that a lot with socks because my foot is one of those sizes that you usually get the bigger grouping of socks. They were super soft and comfortable to wear.
I also got a chance to review the Quilted Plaid Incontinence pad for my son. I think I have mentioned before how my son is epileptic. Even though with any child sometimes accidents happen he cannot control nor is he aware of them. We make sure to keep a bed pad of some type under is sheets so that his bed is not ruined. I was very surprised when I received this bed pad how wonderful it was made. Very thick and durable, it also washed great. Most bed pads that we have tried in the past have become misshaped in the washer. With Wearever's bed pad it looked just like the day I first got it after several washes. The makers of Wearever would love to offer a great giveaway to one of my fans please make sure and enter below!
**I received the above mentioned products in order to write a review. All views expressed are those of my own and were in no way influenced.**

It Is Time To Love Your Skin

My skin is very important to me and it is my belief that your appearance speaks a lot about who you are. As I have discussed several times I don't wear makeup which really gives me no options for hiding my flaws, the only options I have are to take care of my skin. recently I was given the chance to review a product called Alpha Hydrox 10% Enhanced Lotion from Neoteric Cosmetics. This lotion was designed for all skin types to help exfoliate skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and even skin tone and texture and unclogging pores. When I received this product I was aware that the first couple of uses may cause some "tingling" while I probably would refer to it more as a burning sensation it did infact go away after 5 uses. I am glad I pushed through the first couple of days, since then I feel like my skin has really become smoother. There is very little smell to this product which I loved because I usually have a reaction to perfumed products.
Being a mother of three my first thought when I read about get rid of lines and wrinkle is my stomach! Now I know that this product was not made for stretch marks but I have been applying it to my stomach for the last week(which really didn't burn but the first two uses) and it is really making my skin feel great! The bottle is a great size at 6 ounces I have had plenty to use for both my face and stomach. The price is pretty nice to only $10.99 it is an affordable way to improve any skin. Head over to the Alpha Hydrox Facebook page HERE where you can find more great information and fun.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Learning to Play With Your Children

I know that seems like a strange title doesn't it. The fact is that many parents around the world don't play with their children and many don't even realize that they should, or even how. Play is a very important part of a child's mental development. from blocks to playdough and everything in between. I know what you are thinking.....but my kids play with those things on their own. Why do I need to play with them?!? Today I was given an interesting opportunity as an educator that taught me so much. We had a half day for our students and then did what they called "block training". A program was presented to use called Block Fest in which parents and children learn to learn together. Many things were brought to my attention that I never even thought about. Of course as parents were realize something that our children may have the chance to learn during play like colors and shapes. Did you know that you can help your child learn structure, area, perimeter and more just with a pile of wood blocks?? I have decided to bring a new section to my readers. Every Friday I will have a new group of posts called Family Fridays. I will bring lots of fun and exciting ways to bound and grow as a family. They will include tips for educational products and ideas. I hope you will join us as we learn to grow together :)

Happy Valentines Day! Rantish ;)

Now I will be the first to admit I am not really the romantic type. However no matter how much I like to cuddle, or like flowers I am really annoyed today about what people perceive as love. You don't have to get or give a gift to your special someone to mean you love them! Love is what you hold in your heart and only you can know how much you truly care. So this Valentines Day just spend the day loving and forget what everyone else says. Just be happy in your heart and rejoice in the fact that you have found the person you can call your soul mate.

Magic Whiteboard

If you have children then I am sure there has been at least once time as a parent you have scrubbed either marker or crayon off of your walls. If not let me tell you I am jealous! My children were born VERY artistic and boy did they know how to show it off best when mommy had her back turned. Recently I was given the opportunity to review a pretty cool and inventive product. The Magic Whiteboard Letter Sheet  measures 8.25 by 11.75 inches. When I first got it I spent quite a while trying to get it to stick to the walls. I just couldn't get it to work. Now I am not sure if it was something I was doing wrong or not but it is suppose to stick. However After wetting the backside I did get it to stick both to my windows and my fridge. The kids thought it was a pretty cool product and have spent hours and hours playing with it :) Here are some pictures of our favorite artwork.

Even though I couldn't figure out how to get it to work on the walls this product it still a great concept and fun for the kids. Looney Tunes Personalized Children's Book Review

As an educator and a mother I know there is no doubt that reading to your children from an early age is by far one of the most important things you can do for them. Most of our habits are made as children and so should be reading. I'm sure you know though that regardless of how much you love to read you never want to read something that does not draw your interest. I have been very blessed that 2 of my 3 children love to read, and while the other one struggles with a learning disability if I can find something he absolutely loves he will come read with me on most days, so I never turn down the opportunity to review a children's book. Recently I was asked to review a copy of Looney Tunes Personalized Children's Book.

Tropical Traditions

Nothing is better then a home cooked breakfast to start the day. The reality is though I rarely have the time during the week to make something hot for my family. Several times a week we are forced to turn to a cold cereal in order to get our family fed. Recently I was introduced to a new cereal by by a company we are know. Post Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends combines two complementary flavors that you love to make what can only be described as a party in your mouth.

Red Letter Paper Company

Everyone knows there is no better way to say I love you then a beautiful card. Recently I was give the chance to review a beautiful selection of Valentine's cards. Now I will be the first one to admit that I am not a mushy smooshy person. Red Letter Paper Company had the perfect selection for me! Short, sweet and to the point hehe and well I even found one that was just a little nerdy like me! This review has been pretty fun for me. I have used these cards once a week to surprise my husband in his lunch. The quality of the cards were wonderful, nice and thick and solid materials. I love that each card comes wrapped in a plastic sleeve. My favorite part by far is the scripture verse on the back of every card. If you are looking for a modern, Christian based card for pretty much any occasion check out the Red Letter Paper Company. Make sure to order NOW so that it can get to you before Valentine's Day!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Make Your Princess Happy With Kivelli

I lost the art of being a girly girl when I was about 10 years old. Having two boys before I had my daughter certainly did not help the matter any. As my daughter gets old I realize more and more she will be nothing like me! She is everything girly and dreams of being a princess. For the longest time I have kind of avoided reviewing girly products but as she grows older I realize how much she would love to do them. Recently I was given a chance to review the Kivelli Bracelet Layette Collection. When we received our bracelet I was certainly just happy it had made it. The postal service did not handle with care and the bracelet was hanging half out of its package! Here I was worrying about my daughter breaking it, what I should have worried about was the postman.lol Since it had made it to the house in one piece despite its rough handling I was then less worried about letting her wear it and have a great time with it. The bracelet is so tiny and elegant it was hard to believe that it would even fit. As soon as I place it on her wrist she was simply in love with it. She danced and sang for hours about how now she was a real princess. It has been several weeks now of almost non-stop wearing and the bracelet is still hanging strong. I really recommend that if you are looking to make your princess feel a little more special head to Kivelli and check out their products.
