The Thunderleash-Help Stop Leash Pulling

Lets face it those wonderful dogs we have all start out as crazy puppies. We were really hit hard by the crazy bug with our dog Sparky. As some may remember he is our dog that barely survived a horrible battle with Parvo, it left him confined to the house for 4 of the 13 months we had him. While in the back yard he runs and plays like a crazy little monkey and he is a great dog, but now that he is spending more time out in public it is a challenge and a half with him. He has a strange fear of people no matter the age so if he isn't barking he is choking himself trying to pull away.
This is how we choke ourself walking :/
You may remember a while back I did a review for a product called the ThunderShirt, if you don't remember it you can read it HERE. Recently I was contacted by the makers of the ThunderShirt to see if I would like to try out a new product called the ThunderLeash, so with Sparky in mind of course I said yes. When it arrived all the other dogs were eager to try it out, Sparky not so much.lol But after about a week he didn't seem to mind me putting it on him any more, and he even began walking a little better on the leash.
So nice not to choke yourself :)
Now don't get me wrong this was not an instant fix. The first 3 days every time he would pull he would turn around and attack the leash haha, it was funny. It was not hurting him I made sure it wasn't pinching, he just didn't like it. He did learn not to pull though when wearing this leash. I tried going back to using it as just a leash not as a No Pull leash and he is not yet ready for that. Luckily the Thunder Leash is really easy to use, I just wrap it around and fish it into the little hook and we are ready for our walk. If he does decide to pull now it does not choke him either, which is obviously a great thing. I have never been disappointed with products from this great company. I just noticed another product the ThunderSweater which I will have to pick up for my crazy Koda before winter :)
If you would like to pick up a ThunderLeash or any Thunder products you can do so at their website HERE.

I like it! This would be good for my doggies
I had to chuckle when you said this is how you choke yourself. I can remember when we had dogs they were always choking themselves. This looks like a decent leash and I will tell my sister about it. Thanks.

Homemade Fly Traps

We all love summer but as the weather gets warmer the flies get worse and worse. We have a bush out front of our house that I swear just attracts every fly in town! I wanted to get rid of them but I didn't want to kill all the wonderful butterflies it also attracts. So I went about finding a new way to kill them all. I had some empty Tazo tea bottles I simply poked a pen sized whole in the top, added 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of syrup. Now I do find that these work better if you place them in the sun :O) If you want to use a bigger container simply multiply the ingredients. Make sure your hole is only about the size of a pen cap! Then they can't seem to get back out.lol

Putting On Girl Scout Badges With A Flat Iron

I love helping all my little daisies earn badges, but as a mom I hate putting them on. Lol I saw an idea on Pinterest a while back to use a flat iron so I thought I'd give it a try.  It worked really well but I do have a couple suggestions. First make sure your badge  is exactly where you want them. Unlike an iron this causes the glue to melt very fast! Second count I 3-4 and it is probably done! Lastly you will likely have to apply pressure to the end pinching it tight. Overall it worked very well and I will probably keep putting badges on this way :)
