Your Little Champion Will Flip For Chobani + Giveaway

Around my house yogurt has always been a big favorite. With so many options these days it can often be hard to find a yogurt that is not only healthy, but something that my children will enjoy. Recently my family was given the chance to review a new line of Greek Yogurt products from Chobani. When our package arrived I was nothing short of amazed by the variety that I had been sent.
The amazing selection we received for review

The kids could hardly contain themselves, and figuring out what to try first might as well have been like figuring out which Christmas present to open first. I decided we would start by putting one box of the Chobani Champions Tubes into the freezer. I think I mention often how hot it is here! While we love popsicles and ice cream we can't have those all the time. Making frozen Greek yogurt snacks was so fun, and since Chobani Champions come in tubes there was no need to add a stick. Just like a popsicle we simply tore off the top and enjoyed. The flavor that we froze was their new Flyin' Dragon Fruit, because what better way to cool the flames of a dragon then to freeze them?? (Simple and true logic of a 5 year old) The frozen yogurt melted pretty slowly which was nice and most of the time the kids were able to get all the way through before it was completely melted, when was the last time you could say that about a popsicle?? So obviously I have talked a little bit about what I love about the Chobani Champions Tubes, now let me tell you a little more about them. One of the great things is they are available in five different flavors so there is a fun flavor for everyone. My oldest DOES NOT like Greek yogurt, we have tried probably every kind on the market but he LOVED these, especially frozen! Another fun thing about the tubes is the cool like picto-grams on the side.
The other new variety of yogurt we received were the Chobani Flips. Now I had seen a similar product before from another brand but they were a little to Greek for me, if you have ever had Greek yogurt you know what I mean. These were really really good though, they come in 10 different flavors, but my personal favorite had to be the Almond Coco Loco. Aside from the name this yogurt was really just crazy! It is of course Greek yogurt with a little side of almonds, coconut and chocolate. I loved that I could add as little or as much of the side as I wanted to with these, although I didn't get to eat to many of them by myself what I did get was amazing. My 5 year old actually ate most of them lol here is her enjoying one of her many favorites :)
I have nothing but positive things to say about these Chobani products, we have definitely found a new family favorite. Our store just started carrying the tubes and to my surprise they are CHEAPER then the ones packed full of sugar. If you are looking for a great healthy snack to add you your kids diet I recommend these. I know my daughter will be taking a Chobani Champions Tube to her first day of Kindergarten this year!
The people at Chobani want  share the love with you. They are offering to one of my fans a chance to win a case of their assorted yogurts :) just make sure to enter on the rafflecoprt below! Good Luck!

Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need:
2 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of Water
1 Package Sugar Free Jello
A candy Thermometer

Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I like to dust mine …

Killing Ants Safely

LOL okay I know the title seems a bit silly. Here is West Texas ants are a BIG problem. Not only do they bite, but well they are really annoying! They sneak into every crack in your house no matter how hard you try. With pets though you are very limited to the products you can safely use to kill ants. As time goes on more and more I am concerned about the products I keep in this house and the effect they have on not only me and my children, but my pets. When looking for ways to rid myself of these pests I found a simple, cheap, and effective means to do so. CORNMEAL! Yep it is very simple, for about $2 a bag I can treat weekly for an entire year! While it doesn't kill them all it has certainly brought down the population so that now it isn't even noticeable. All you do it sprinkle it on top of their mounds and watch the greedy little ants drag it all inside! When eaten it expands and POOF! ;O) You get the picture.

Homemade Fly Traps

We all love summer but as the weather gets warmer the flies get worse and worse. We have a bush out front of our house that I swear just attracts every fly in town! I wanted to get rid of them but I didn't want to kill all the wonderful butterflies it also attracts. So I went about finding a new way to kill them all. I had some empty Tazo tea bottles I simply poked a pen sized whole in the top, added 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of syrup. Now I do find that these work better if you place them in the sun :O) If you want to use a bigger container simply multiply the ingredients. Make sure your hole is only about the size of a pen cap! Then they can't seem to get back
