Princess Twilight Sparkle is at Build-A-Bear + Giveaway

If you have a little girl then likely you know all excitement behind My Little Pony and the joy they bring. Build-A-Bear has listened and created a great line of stuff friends for your little one, or inner child. The newest addition to their My Little Pony family is Princess Twilight Sparkle.
It is always a fun moment when your new friend arrives in their little house. Unfortunately we are 6 hours away so most of our pets arrive by mail. They are always packed with care and love in their own house. Princess Twilight Sparkle was no different because Build-A-Bear gives every friend the royal treatment. Measuring 16 inches tall she is very large and filled how you want her. In our case she has a nice firm filling so she is able to stand on her own, after all you cannot rule a house without being able to stand on your 4 golden shoes.
As you can see when we received Princess Twilight Sparkle it was love at first sight for my daughter. Like all the Build-A-Bear friends we own she is very well put together and handles play time without any noticeable wear. If you have  a Build-A-Bear in your area I highly recommend taking a trip to find your favorite new friend. If you don't happen to have one in your area no worries at http://www.buildabear.com you can find the perfect friend for your family. They are sure to have one for you and treat it with the love and care you would see in store. Build-A-Bear offers great in store parties for your little one. We plan on arranging one very soon when we head to see family :) After all you only turn 6 once, and Princess Twilight Sparkle is missing Rainbow Dash dearly.

Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need:
2 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of Water
1 Package Sugar Free Jello
A candy Thermometer

Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work right.lol Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like licorice.lol After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I like to dust mine …

The Children's Place Review and Giveaway

Recently I was lucky enough to be given a chance to review The Children's Place. With summer time in full force here in West Texas getting some new summer time clothing was not only a needed thing but a fun thing to do. We decided to try out The Children's Place online ordering. I had never done this before and with a packed schedule it was very handy! My daughter loved sitting don and being able to pick out an entire outfit for under $25. In fact she was not only able to get an out fit but to additional pairs of shorts! Not only was ordering fast and easy but we received our clothing in 2 days. Considering we hit a record high 103 degrees yesterday it came none to soon! Here is the adorable outfit that she picked out :O) she had to model it of course! Butterfly Shirt $6; Matching Shorts $6;Flip Flops to go with her out fit $3.50. The excitement of picking her outfit herself Priceless.
She really had so much fun with this and she loves her new flips flops(because the 5 pairs she…

Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway

Recently I was given an amazing opportunity to review a new product by Rubbermaid called the Hidden Recycler. As a family who does a lot to help our planet in many ways this was an exciting opportunity. I loved the fact the Rubbermaid not only made a product that would help my family continue their recycling more easily but they reduced packaging to merely a cardboard sleeve that I could in turn recycle. I quickly opened the package like a kid at Christmas and discovered it would not fit my kitchen cabinets :O( we are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and the layout of my old cabinets would not hold the brackets.  So as I sat down to gloat about not being able to use this amazing product, and I notice two holes on the lid and made a massive dash for the directions. Sure enough I can attach it with screws! (Which ironically took me forever to find in our construction materials) I found the perfect place for it in my laundry room and began putting all of Rubbermaid's claims to the …
