KIND Snack Bars - Is Your Lunch #Kindawesome

I can't believe how fast the school year is coming, it seems like only yesterday that summer had just begun. As I think about the school year it is only natural to start thinking about what I am going to put into my child's lunch this year. Recently I was given the chance to review and consider KIND Snack Bars. We received 5 great flavors to try, and of course like all reviews I do for food, the kids were more the eager to lend a hand!

Now with the heat luckily only one of them had chocolate lol. The flavors we received were Cranberry Almond + Antioxidants,  Peanut Butter & Strawberry, Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein,  Blueberry Vanilla & Cashew, and Maple Glazed Pecan & Seasalt. Luckily we received more then one of each so it was easy to divide and share some of the favorite flavors. Of course topping my son's favorite list was the Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein. I love that these have added protein. My Oldest son is a very picky child and well he always has been. Being able to add in some extra protein and having it taste great is a big advantage. This was also my favorite bar, but I guess then again I think if you throw chocolate into anything it makes it that much better! My daughter I may have mentioned before doesn't eat meat so any added protein is great for her, but her favorite was something else. By no surprise to be her favorite was the Blueberry Vanilla & Cashew.
lmao he hate his picture taken
We have really enjoyed all of these products and I was really excited to see that they were carried here at our local Walmart. So purchasing them will be easy for our family and I can't wait to try even more of their flavors. KIND doesn't just make snack bars either, they make many great products including 22 snack bars and 6 healthy grain cluster granola snacks. So if you are looking for something to put into your lunch, or maybe you just need a yummy snack I recommend KIND.
To learn more about KIND products head to their Website. Or you can check them out on Facebook and Twitter :)
**I received the above mentioned products in order to help facilitate this review. All views expressed are those of my own and were in no way influenced.**

Homemade Fly Traps

We all love summer but as the weather gets warmer the flies get worse and worse. We have a bush out front of our house that I swear just attracts every fly in town! I wanted to get rid of them but I didn't want to kill all the wonderful butterflies it also attracts. So I went about finding a new way to kill them all. I had some empty Tazo tea bottles I simply poked a pen sized whole in the top, added 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of syrup. Now I do find that these work better if you place them in the sun :O) If you want to use a bigger container simply multiply the ingredients. Make sure your hole is only about the size of a pen cap! Then they can't seem to get back out.lol

Putting On Girl Scout Badges With A Flat Iron

I love helping all my little daisies earn badges, but as a mom I hate putting them on. Lol I saw an idea on Pinterest a while back to use a flat iron so I thought I'd give it a try.  It worked really well but I do have a couple suggestions. First make sure your badge  is exactly where you want them. Unlike an iron this causes the glue to melt very fast! Second count I 3-4 and it is probably done! Lastly you will likely have to apply pressure to the end pinching it tight. Overall it worked very well and I will probably keep putting badges on this way :)
