Improve Your Skin and Body With NeoCell

By now it is no secret that I am working to become the healthiest person I can and I am taking my family with me. Recently I got to review a couple of products from a company called NeoCell. Founded in 1998 after a health scare the creator of NeoCell wanted to share the knowledge he had gained about Collagen and what it could do to help the human body with the world. Today, NeoCell is the #1 collagen brand in the world and a leader in the field of nutritional science. Now on to the products :)
The first product I got a chance to review was the new NeoCell Beauty Bursts Soft Chews. I selected the chocolate mint flavor because, well I love chocolate mint, but they are also available in fruit punch. NeoCell Beauty Bursts deliver high absorption beauty nutrients in yummy soft chews. Now for some reason to me it was very important to have something I could chew. When you are going from a lifestyle filled with processed foods and take out to a life style of natural products it can be very tough. These NeoCell Chocolate Mint Soft Chews have really help to curb some of those cravings. The taste was pretty good, although for me a little more mint flavor could be there, but they were and easy product to take. I simply unwrapped on in the morning and one in the evening and enjoyed them as more of a little treat then a supplement. I feel like I am really noticing a difference in the texture of my skin, primarily on my arms right now but I am hoping as I continue to take these I will see the difference else where. My favorite part though is that the ingredients are natural, they are gluten free, and lactose free!
The next product I was able to try was the Collagen Sport Ultimate Recovery in chocolate. This protein powder provides just the right amino acids necessary to replenish the body’s collagen supply. It also helps minimize fine lines & wrinkles, and improves elasticity in the skin. While building and supporting bone matrix, correcting weak, broken, split and damaged nail beds. It is also said to thicken fine hair, add body and slow down hair loss, repair connective tissues for improved elasticity, improve circulation, and promotes wound healing. Glycine builds lean muscle to help burn fat while you sleep. Now are all these statements true?? Well maybe lol. Let me tell you about my experience. First the flavor, I was really surprised how mild the taste was. I usually mix my protein with less water so I can drink it faster, I really don't like the taste of most protein powders. While it had a slight chocolate taste it tasted more like water. Now honestly this isn't a bad quality to me. It actually made for the perfect powder to mix in with my smoothie to give it a great balance. I have always had nice nails so that was something I couldn't judge on. As I said earlier in the post my skin is starting to look better, and what woman doesn't want that! No the big change I have noticed is in my hair. My hair has always grown very slow and I have always had fine poor looking hair. I have noticed the growth has nearly doubled over the last month and I have actually received some complements on my hair for the first time ever. So to me this product is doing everything I could ask for. It is giving my body the nutrition that I need, making my skin look younger then it has in years and giving me the hair I never had. It gets my seal of approval.
These products are available at GNC store nation wide. You can also purchase them online HERE.

Homemade Fly Traps

We all love summer but as the weather gets warmer the flies get worse and worse. We have a bush out front of our house that I swear just attracts every fly in town! I wanted to get rid of them but I didn't want to kill all the wonderful butterflies it also attracts. So I went about finding a new way to kill them all. I had some empty Tazo tea bottles I simply poked a pen sized whole in the top, added 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of syrup. Now I do find that these work better if you place them in the sun :O) If you want to use a bigger container simply multiply the ingredients. Make sure your hole is only about the size of a pen cap! Then they can't seem to get back out.lol

Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need:
2 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of Water
1 Package Sugar Free Jello
A candy Thermometer

Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work right.lol Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like licorice.lol After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I like to dust mine …

Killing Ants Safely

LOL okay I know the title seems a bit silly. Here is West Texas ants are a BIG problem. Not only do they bite, but well they are really annoying! They sneak into every crack in your house no matter how hard you try. With pets though you are very limited to the products you can safely use to kill ants. As time goes on more and more I am concerned about the products I keep in this house and the effect they have on not only me and my children, but my pets. When looking for ways to rid myself of these pests I found a simple, cheap, and effective means to do so. CORNMEAL! Yep it is very simple, for about $2 a bag I can treat weekly for an entire year! While it doesn't kill them all it has certainly brought down the population so that now it isn't even noticeable. All you do it sprinkle it on top of their mounds and watch the greedy little ants drag it all inside! When eaten it expands and POOF! ;O) You get the picture.
