Be Ready For Your Day With Blender Bottle #GoStak

With school starting I am back to running, running, running. Some days I feel like I don't have time to take care of myself. I always have on hand though my Blender Bottle and some protein powder. Recently the Blender Bottle company gave me the chance to review a great new revolutionary item to help me stay prepared for those busy days. The Blender Bottle GoStak is a portable protein & supplement carrying system and offers some great features.
Ready for the day!

Features
  • Twist n' Lock™ System connects jars with ease
  • Secure Seal for worry-free portability
  • Durable Eastman Tritan™ material resists stains & odors
  • Fits Inside your BlenderBottle Classic™  or SportMixer™
  • Mix and Match jar sizes for a perfectly customized stack
I love the Twist n' Lock System that these jars have. I was a bit worried about it at first but they really do snap together really well! You can actually here them snapping together. You also do not have to worry at all about if the right lid goes to the right container, they all work together! I haven't put anything liquid in it yet to test out the secure seal but we have had no issues with moisture getting into our containers. As I mentioned we have used Blender Bottles for a while now, and a big part of why I love them is the Durable Eastman Tritan™ material that resists stains & odors. I'm sure if you drink a lot of tea or protein mixes you have had a stained bottle, or that faint smell that always seems to be around. It really can make it hard to enjoy your drink when all the scents start mixing.lol
I love I have a container for everything!
Most days I end up filling up all the containers and while I don't have the large standard cup it would fit inside it is really easy to carry with me :) my husband takes our large cups since he is, well bigger then me and requires more to keep going throughout his day! We have really enjoyed these new GoStak containers and I can't wait to pick up another next time we head to our sporting good store in the next town over.

These Blender Bottles are such a great idea! I love that you can make a healthy shake where ever you are, and that it is made from materials that resist stains and odor too.
As far as the Twist-n-Lock, what an innovative idea. I cannot stand having to carry a bunch of different containers all thrown together in a bag! This way you can carry everything you need, without having a bunch of loose containers to keep up with and figure out how to carry all at once. So now you can really have a complete and nutritious lunch at work.

Homemade Fly Traps

We all love summer but as the weather gets warmer the flies get worse and worse. We have a bush out front of our house that I swear just attracts every fly in town! I wanted to get rid of them but I didn't want to kill all the wonderful butterflies it also attracts. So I went about finding a new way to kill them all. I had some empty Tazo tea bottles I simply poked a pen sized whole in the top, added 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of syrup. Now I do find that these work better if you place them in the sun :O) If you want to use a bigger container simply multiply the ingredients. Make sure your hole is only about the size of a pen cap! Then they can't seem to get back out.lol

Putting On Girl Scout Badges With A Flat Iron

I love helping all my little daisies earn badges, but as a mom I hate putting them on. Lol I saw an idea on Pinterest a while back to use a flat iron so I thought I'd give it a try.  It worked really well but I do have a couple suggestions. First make sure your badge  is exactly where you want them. Unlike an iron this causes the glue to melt very fast! Second count I 3-4 and it is probably done! Lastly you will likely have to apply pressure to the end pinching it tight. Overall it worked very well and I will probably keep putting badges on this way :)

Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need:
2 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of Water
1 Package Sugar Free Jello
A candy Thermometer

Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work right.lol Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like licorice.lol After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I like to dust mine …
