Gardening in West Texas- It's a Jungle Out There!

Wow what a great week for this side of the state! While we had a frightening tornado drill it ended fine with no real damage. We ended up with several inches of RAIN last week as well. It was amazing while it lasted but we are back into the hundreds as of yesterday. It amazed me that after 4 days of rain, two day included flood warnings due to the level of rain, that I would have to water the day after. On a good note we were able to save 200+ gallons of rain so we have gotten 2 great days of flooding without the expense and today I will be catching up with laundry today to water the garden and preparing it for our upcoming vacation. He are some new pictures for the week :)
The tomato plant and the stupid pot I nearly broke my hand on.

Garden overview and the sunflower has no thought of even blooming yet!

First little pickle ;)

Lettuce, strawberries and beans growing strong.

Mystery plant flower :) likely a pumpkin

lots of tiny tomatoes
