Classroom Friendly Pencil Sharpener Review

Recently I was given the chance to review something that to some may not seem exciting but to a mother and someone who use to work in a school a great pencil sharpener is something that you cannot live without. For years I have tossed about small pencil sharpener after small pencil sharpener usually only to break it or lose it. I have always thought about getting one like you would use in school but never have. When I got a chance to review the Classroom Friendly Pencil Sharpener I jumped right one board. My package arrived quickly and my kids and I were more then eager to take it out and use it.
It came in a great little box that it could be stored
in or even reused for something else.

With no real effort it easily attaches to most surfaces :)
this is my movie case and the edge can be about 2 inches thick

Luckily my oldest's teacher had one it would have took me a few
to figure out you have to pinch the top together to insert the pencil

The front holds the pencil for a great sharpen, this help so the
lead doesn't break. As the pencil sharpens the metal piece goes in.
My kids have had a great time sharpening every pencil in the house.lol I have loved that this is securely fastened to my movie case so when my pencil needs sharpened I don't have to spend my morning looking for a little sharpener, then breaking the lead off inside it twice trying to get a usual pencil. For the price this is a great pencil sharpener that I recommend to any parent or teacher.
If you are part of a school or would like to buy these in bulk you can save on buying multiples. Available in green, red, blue and black there is sure to be one you will like to.

Homemade Fly Traps

We all love summer but as the weather gets warmer the flies get worse and worse. We have a bush out front of our house that I swear just attracts every fly in town! I wanted to get rid of them but I didn't want to kill all the wonderful butterflies it also attracts. So I went about finding a new way to kill them all. I had some empty Tazo tea bottles I simply poked a pen sized whole in the top, added 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of syrup. Now I do find that these work better if you place them in the sun :O) If you want to use a bigger container simply multiply the ingredients. Make sure your hole is only about the size of a pen cap! Then they can't seem to get back out.lol

Putting On Girl Scout Badges With A Flat Iron

I love helping all my little daisies earn badges, but as a mom I hate putting them on. Lol I saw an idea on Pinterest a while back to use a flat iron so I thought I'd give it a try.  It worked really well but I do have a couple suggestions. First make sure your badge  is exactly where you want them. Unlike an iron this causes the glue to melt very fast! Second count I 3-4 and it is probably done! Lastly you will likely have to apply pressure to the end pinching it tight. Overall it worked very well and I will probably keep putting badges on this way :)
