Simply Saturday Where This Blog Is Headed

I'm sure you have noticed that the blog is taking kind of a slow down. Besides being kind of tired lately and fighting either a cold or allergies that have decided to settle in my chest. So I got on today to try to do some blogging and talk about how our lives are changing. We have always kind of talked about it but the last couple months we have set a plan into action. Now of course even the best laid plans can fail but we are working hard towards a goal. You see over the next 15 months or so we will be saving and paying off what debt we have that remains. In this time we are also going to be saving some cash up to buy some land! Yep.....we are going to become homesteaders. We have a general location in mind although we have not yet settled on a place. We want it to be that perfect forever place that everyone dreams about. Although I am sure not all of my fans have the dream of living off the grid and off the land we will not simply focus on that. We will still have great garden posts, recipes, money saving ideas and projects. I will also be doing more things on reusing and recycling! So I hope you will hang out with us on this journey into what might be the great unknown! Don't worry we still have plenty of AMAZING new products coming up for you to see to!

#Cozycatfurniture Growing up Kitty with Ginger

It has been so many years since we have had a kitten around the house I think I had forgotten just how active and amazing they are! I am sure many of you have seen me talk about Ginger our baby. She is FeLV positive, and just days short of her 7 month birthday. We also have 2 other boys with are getting up there in age. Thomas has always been a scratcher and I admit I had never thought about getting a kitty tree before this. Earlier in the month a great opportunity to review the Kitty Condo Tree from   Cozy Cat Furniture came about I thought oh great Ginger will have a place to nap, play, learn, and most importantly SCRATCH!      It Arrived in a box which I have to admit scared me a bit at first, it was much small then I thought.....was the tree smaller....was this one of those "some adult assembly required" items? Luckily it was easy to put together and came out so much sturdier then I had expected.  Even before we could give the word go Ginger was eager to play a

The Children's Place Review and Giveaway

Recently I was lucky enough to be given a chance to review The Children's Place . With summer time in full force here in West Texas getting some new summer time clothing was not only a needed thing but a fun thing to do. We decided to try out The Children's Place online ordering. I had never done this before and with a packed schedule it was very handy! My daughter loved sitting don and being able to pick out an entire outfit for under $25. In fact she was not only able to get an out fit but to additional pairs of shorts! Not only was ordering fast and easy but we received our clothing in 2 days. Considering we hit a record high 103 degrees yesterday it came none to soon! Here is the adorable outfit that she picked out :O) she had to model it of course! Butterfly Shirt $6; Matching Shorts $6;Flip Flops to go with her out fit $3.50. The excitement of picking her outfit herself Priceless. She really had so much fun with this and she loves her new flips flops(because the

Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway

Recently I was given an amazing opportunity to review a new product by Rubbermaid called the Hidden Recycler.  As a family who does a lot to help our planet in many ways this was an exciting opportunity. I loved the fact the Rubbermaid not only made a product that would help my family continue their recycling more easily but they reduced packaging to merely a cardboard sleeve that I could in turn recycle. I quickly opened the package like a kid at Christmas and discovered it would not fit my kitchen cabinets :O( we are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and the layout of my old cabinets would not hold the brackets.  So as I sat down to gloat about not being able to use this amazing product, and I notice two holes on the lid and made a massive dash for the directions. Sure enough I can attach it with screws! (Which ironically took me forever to find in our construction materials) I found the perfect place for it in my laundry room and began putting all of Rubbermaid's claims to the
