Shnoozles, Your Bedtime Friend.

If you have children you know what a struggle bedtimes can sometimes be. A great bedtime routine in important but sometimes they still feel afraid to go to sleep at night. Recently I was given the opportunity to review a soft an cuddly critter called a Shnoozle. Shu-Shu is a furry brown critter who is always ready to sleep. I love the original idea for their eyelids. When bedtime comes you can lower their eye lids and with the cute little rhyme book your child can help Shu-Shu go to bed as they get ready to close their eyes. When I first found out I would be doing this review I thought for sure this would come in handy most for my 5 year old. Her room is a little off from us so she gets a little afraid. My son LOVES being tucked in at night but for some reason lately is afraid to close his eyes. So I thought huh even though he is 8 maybe he would love a furry little friend to help him feel safe. He doesn't read very well yet so we read the story together, he closed his Shnoozles eyes and he tucked in his new friend. In the morning I woke up to find him squeezing him tight :) it was so cute I couldn't resist but to take a picture. It has been about a week now and he almost has the story memorized! He loves "waking" Shu-Shu up in the morning before school and as soon as he gets home he picks him up to play. I never in a million years thought he would be so attached to a stuffed creature the way he is.
Now on to what mommy loves the most, besides of course the joy I see in my sons face. I was a little concerned about the value before I received it at $24.99 a piece but I didn't realize how big he was until we got him. At 14" high and full of fluff he is well worth the money. The quality is great and I haven't noticed a single stitch out of place that could cause a hole. I love that it doesn't light up or make sounds, instead it encourages sleep through reading! As I mention my son really struggles with reading so anything he LOVES to read is a great step for us. The makers of Shnoozles want to help one of our lucky readers sleep a little better at night. If you are interested in winning a Shnoozle of your own please make sure to enter on the Rafflecopter below for a chance. If you can't wait that long make sure to head to to pick up a friend for your special little someone. You can also check out what they are up to on Facebook and Twitter.

#Cozycatfurniture Growing up Kitty with Ginger

It has been so many years since we have had a kitten around the house I think I had forgotten just how active and amazing they are! I am sure many of you have seen me talk about Ginger our baby. She is FeLV positive, and just days short of her 7 month birthday. We also have 2 other boys with are getting up there in age. Thomas has always been a scratcher and I admit I had never thought about getting a kitty tree before this. Earlier in the month a great opportunity to review the Kitty Condo Tree from   Cozy Cat Furniture came about I thought oh great Ginger will have a place to nap, play, learn, and most importantly SCRATCH!      It Arrived in a box which I have to admit scared me a bit at first, it was much small then I thought.....was the tree smaller....was this one of those "some adult assembly required" items? Luckily it was easy to put together and came out so much sturdier then I had expected.  Even before we could give the word go Ginger was eager to play a

Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need: 2 Cups of Sugar 2 Cups of Water 1 Package Sugar Free Jello A candy Thermometer Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I li

With summer time in full force here in West Texas getting some new summer time clothing was not only a needed thing but a fun thing to do. We decided to try out The Children's Place online ordering. In fact she was not only able to get an out fit but to additional pairs of shorts! Not only was ordering fast and easy but we received our clothing in 2 days. Considering we hit a record high 103 degrees yesterday it came none to soon! Here is the adorable outfit that she picked out :O) she had to model it of course! Butterfly Shirt $6; Matching Shorts $6;Flip Flops to go with her out fit $3.50. The excitement of picking her outfit herself Priceless.
