Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops

Tis the season......For colds, flus and other sickness. We all the this time of year but it seems almost unavoidable that you will be sick at least once during the winter season. Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops were originally designed in 1870 by J. Herman Pine and his brother. Over the last 140 years the recipe has changed hands and companies and in 2011 it was purchased by 3 Sisters Home Products and once again began soothing throats of many. Available in the flavors of Cherry, Lemon, Black Licorice and Honey you are not stuck with a flavorless drop. Normally I am a honey flavored person but I really enjoyed the cherry of this brand. Not biting them was the biggest struggle for me.lol With the texture of a very firm gummy bear it is like a treat in your mouth....that you can't bite. I love that these come in 2 sizes the 26 count hard case which is perfect for your purse or desk, and the bigger 32 count bag which I love to use to refill my hard case. available at your local CVS Pharmacy for about $3.89 the price is very competitive with other brands. I have really enjoyed reviewing these, of course the best part is that they work but I also love that they have a mild flavor unlike many other brands.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I have heard great things about these but I haven't been able to find them in my area. I like mild flavors too so I think that would be a great product to have.

Putting On Girl Scout Badges With A Flat Iron

I love helping all my little daisies earn badges, but as a mom I hate putting them on. Lol I saw an idea on Pinterest a while back to use a flat iron so I thought I'd give it a try.  It worked really well but I do have a couple suggestions. First make sure your badge  is exactly where you want them. Unlike an iron this causes the glue to melt very fast! Second count I 3-4 and it is probably done! Lastly you will likely have to apply pressure to the end pinching it tight. Overall it worked very well and I will probably keep putting badges on this way :)

Homemade Fly Traps

We all love summer but as the weather gets warmer the flies get worse and worse. We have a bush out front of our house that I swear just attracts every fly in town! I wanted to get rid of them but I didn't want to kill all the wonderful butterflies it also attracts. So I went about finding a new way to kill them all. I had some empty Tazo tea bottles I simply poked a pen sized whole in the top, added 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of syrup. Now I do find that these work better if you place them in the sun :O) If you want to use a bigger container simply multiply the ingredients. Make sure your hole is only about the size of a pen cap! Then they can't seem to get back out.lol
