Happy Halloween With Mike and Ike

With Halloween tomorrow there is one thing on every child & child at hearts mind............CANDY! Let's face it we all have a favorite candy that is no question. Well today I have a chance to share with you one of MY favorites. Mike and Ike is a brand that I'm sure everyone has heard of, but how do you choose which box to buy?? The grape?? The Original fruits?? Berry Blast?? Aaaahhhh!!! Well that is why I love this box the most.lol My Mummy's Mix has ALL my favorite flavors in one box WOOHOO!
 Now I have some very sad new to announce, in case you have yet to hear Mike and Ike are splitting up :*(.  Yes, yes it is very very sad but like every parent, we all have a favorite ;o) you can head to Facebook NOW and vote for your favorite. Don't worry you can also vote to reunite them! Don't miss out on bringing your favorite to the shelves. You have probably already noticed the different packages on shelves near you. Remember stay safe this Halloween and eat lots of you favorite candy. HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

I am not much of a candy lover, but Mikes and Ikes is the exception! Love them like I was a kid...LOL...

I haven't had these candies in so long, but I always loved getting them at the movie theater. Thanks for the reminder that I love these and should buy some. Happy Halloween!

The Children's Place Review and Giveaway

Recently I was lucky enough to be given a chance to review The Children's Place . With summer time in full force here in West Texas getting some new summer time clothing was not only a needed thing but a fun thing to do. We decided to try out The Children's Place online ordering. I had never done this before and with a packed schedule it was very handy! My daughter loved sitting don and being able to pick out an entire outfit for under $25. In fact she was not only able to get an out fit but to additional pairs of shorts! Not only was ordering fast and easy but we received our clothing in 2 days. Considering we hit a record high 103 degrees yesterday it came none to soon! Here is the adorable outfit that she picked out :O) she had to model it of course! Butterfly Shirt $6; Matching Shorts $6;Flip Flops to go with her out fit $3.50. The excitement of picking her outfit herself Priceless. Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need: 2 Cups of Sugar 2 Cups of Water 1 Package Sugar Free Jello A candy Thermometer Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work right.lol Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like licorice.lol After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I li
