Cat Fun With Petmate

As you have seen animals are a big part of our family. With 3 kids, 4 dogs and 2 cats we are quite a large family Petmate has really blessed me with a great bunch of reviews to do. My animal babies have had a great time reviewing these products. There is just way to much good stuff to cram it all in one post so here is the run down on our kitty fun products. This cat wheel my cats haven't yet messed with but they are extreme stratchers so I have no doubt that once they figure it out they will really enjoy It is made of durable plastic covered in carpet. The bottom is a cardboard emory material perfect to help file down their nails and comes complete with catnip. They are however LOVING the other two great products that I was sent to review.
First was a product from their partner company FAT CAT which is ironically funny considering this is my chubby cats favorite The Fat Cat Tiki Hut is easy to assemble and really durable. I was a little worried at first because it is held together by velcro and cat is nearly 15 He has really loved sitting on top and scrathing the living day lights out of this toy! He even squeezed himself inside once haha which is not quite big enough for him. My thinner cat however loves to be inside of it and attack his Lastly was the Fat Cat Boogy Mat I have used this mat on the back end of my couch to give somewhere else for the hair to collect. They already LOVED playing on the back of my couch and now it seems to be even more fun! Plus I can take it outside and shake all the hair off instead of having to tape  hair off my couch. You wouldn't believe how much how this family collects......then again you probably Not only is it a great furniture saver but it also makes crinkly sounds when they walk about on it and comes with catnip to encourage more play. Available in many different styles. Now hopefully with all these toys(and his new diet) my cat can start losing some much needed weight. You never know he may fit into his tiki hut one day hehe. Thank you Petmate and Fat Cat for these great products to reivew! Join me later in the week as I go over some of the great new products that my puppies are loving :O) including the fun friends that have seen Sparky through his spell of parvo.

**I recieved the above mentioned items in order to complete a full and honest review. All thought expressed are that of my own and were in no way influenced.**

Homemade Fly Traps

We all love summer but as the weather gets warmer the flies get worse and worse. We have a bush out front of our house that I swear just attracts every fly in town! I wanted to get rid of them but I didn't want to kill all the wonderful butterflies it also attracts. So I went about finding a new way to kill them all. I had some empty Tazo tea bottles I simply poked a pen sized whole in the top, added 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of syrup. Now I do find that these work better if you place them in the sun :O) If you want to use a bigger container simply multiply the ingredients. Make sure your hole is only about the size of a pen cap! Then they can't seem to get back

Putting On Girl Scout Badges With A Flat Iron

I love helping all my little daisies earn badges, but as a mom I hate putting them on. Lol I saw an idea on Pinterest a while back to use a flat iron so I thought I'd give it a try.  It worked really well but I do have a couple suggestions. First make sure your badge  is exactly where you want them. Unlike an iron this causes the glue to melt very fast! Second count I 3-4 and it is probably done! Lastly you will likely have to apply pressure to the end pinching it tight. Overall it worked very well and I will probably keep putting badges on this way :)

Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need:
2 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of Water
1 Package Sugar Free Jello
A candy Thermometer

Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I like to dust mine …
