Baby Shower Celebration-The Miracle Blanket Giveaway!

I am joining in with Tots and Me to bring you some awesome baby related giveaways in celebration of her baby boy's birth. The review below is written by Tots and Me.
About a week ago I shared a little bit about The Miracle Blanket.
This really is a unique and innovative swaddle blanket. At first I wasn't sure if I had received this blanket too late. Baby Harold has been preferring his arms out of the swaddle when I was wrapping him in his other blankets. But, I decided to give The Miracle Blanket a shot.
Ever since he has been sick he has been sleeping in the car seat. When we were in the hospital, every time I laid him down he woke back up coughing.  So I have been very leery about laying him on his back. Looking at it that way, I received the Miracle Blanket at just the right time. As baby Harold has finally gotten rid of his cough and we are done with his breathing treatments I felt safe laying him on his back during the night.
He did not mind his arms being confined (though it looks like he did as I was swaddling him) and he slept several hours. And it really was so easy to swaddle him in this blanket. As I stated in my Sponsor Spotlight post, it may not look like a traditional blanket, but it works wonderfully. No wondering where the baby's arms should go. The arm flaps gently hold the baby's arms down by his side. And then you just wrap the right side up and over the baby followed by the left over and under and around. No fiddling with the blanket to make sure it is at the right angle or length. And there are no snaps, buttons, Velcro or zippers to deal with in the middle of the night. In addition, it is very well made. This blanket is a winner in my book. You have got to check  it out.
Head over to The Miracle Blanket site to check out this great blanket. They have several patterns/colors to choose from. While you are there, check out the other great products they carry including Miracle Sounds CDs. And don't forget about their current special discount:$5 dollars off the regular price of $29.95Buy any 2 Miracle Blankets and get an additional 15% discount on all the Miracle Blankets in your order. And don't forget to check them out on Facebook and Twitter

Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need:
2 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of Water
1 Package Sugar Free Jello
A candy Thermometer

Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work right.lol Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like licorice.lol After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I like to dust mine …

The Children's Place Review and Giveaway

Recently I was lucky enough to be given a chance to review The Children's Place. With summer time in full force here in West Texas getting some new summer time clothing was not only a needed thing but a fun thing to do. We decided to try out The Children's Place online ordering. I had never done this before and with a packed schedule it was very handy! My daughter loved sitting don and being able to pick out an entire outfit for under $25. In fact she was not only able to get an out fit but to additional pairs of shorts! Not only was ordering fast and easy but we received our clothing in 2 days. Considering we hit a record high 103 degrees yesterday it came none to soon! Here is the adorable outfit that she picked out :O) she had to model it of course! Butterfly Shirt $6; Matching Shorts $6;Flip Flops to go with her out fit $3.50. The excitement of picking her outfit herself Priceless.
She really had so much fun with this and she loves her new flips flops(because the 5 pairs she…

Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway

Recently I was given an amazing opportunity to review a new product by Rubbermaid called the Hidden Recycler. As a family who does a lot to help our planet in many ways this was an exciting opportunity. I loved the fact the Rubbermaid not only made a product that would help my family continue their recycling more easily but they reduced packaging to merely a cardboard sleeve that I could in turn recycle. I quickly opened the package like a kid at Christmas and discovered it would not fit my kitchen cabinets :O( we are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and the layout of my old cabinets would not hold the brackets.  So as I sat down to gloat about not being able to use this amazing product, and I notice two holes on the lid and made a massive dash for the directions. Sure enough I can attach it with screws! (Which ironically took me forever to find in our construction materials) I found the perfect place for it in my laundry room and began putting all of Rubbermaid's claims to the …
