Are You Eating the Proper Food Portions

Are You Eating Proper Food Portions?
As you know I struggle constantly with the shape and fitness of my body. I eat what I feel is a "good" diet. I drink at least 864 ounces of water a day, eat between 1200-1500 calories, and stay pretty active. Really thought it seems I am always spinning in circles. Recently I came across an article that may explain WHY! While I eat the right amount of calories a day I am not eating the right variety of foods. Here is the article if you want to learn how you maybe able to help your health and weight by eating the right foods keep to your body healthy and working to its full potential.

I don't think I am getting the proper food portions. I don't get enough of my portion of ice cream each day! Ha!

I have also heard before that your portions shouldn't be greter than the size of your fist... but when you're really hungry, that rule kinda goes out the window!!! lol ;)
Probably not...but I try to!!! It's so hard to eat right!!!

Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need:
2 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of Water
1 Package Sugar Free Jello
A candy Thermometer

Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work right.lol Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like licorice.lol After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I like to dust mine …

Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway

Recently I was given an amazing opportunity to review a new product by Rubbermaid called the Hidden Recycler. As a family who does a lot to help our planet in many ways this was an exciting opportunity. I loved the fact the Rubbermaid not only made a product that would help my family continue their recycling more easily but they reduced packaging to merely a cardboard sleeve that I could in turn recycle. I quickly opened the package like a kid at Christmas and discovered it would not fit my kitchen cabinets :O( we are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and the layout of my old cabinets would not hold the brackets.  So as I sat down to gloat about not being able to use this amazing product, and I notice two holes on the lid and made a massive dash for the directions. Sure enough I can attach it with screws! (Which ironically took me forever to find in our construction materials) I found the perfect place for it in my laundry room and began putting all of Rubbermaid's claims to the …
