Weekly Garden Update :O)

My plants are just taking off! I just got inside from planting 32 pickling cucumber plants. I really hope we have some good progress with them this year. We are trying something new though, instead of growing on the ground we are trying growing UP! My husband built me a system to help ensure that they have plenty of places to cling to. I am really loving this method because I can grow twice the amount of cucumbers in probably a 10th of the space. We have had great luck in the past growing them on the ground here so I really hope they do just as well.
I hope I didn't plant them to close to the onions.lol

Which are also just going CRAZY!
and of course for added cuteness look how big she is getting!

It has been such a funny gardening week. I went from pulling crab grass and weeds out for what seemed like an eternity. To wondering where I could steal some dandelions for my garden.lol Now if  you are wondering why I want to steal  those dandelions you'll have to head over to My Side of Life to see what she is up to! I promise you it is something you will never believe!

I'm in Ontario and were way behind in growing anything as of yet but boy oh boy we've had bizarre hot summer weather for this time of year. Our rose bushes are getting leaves and usually don't till mid April end of April.

YAY nice weather.
NO thanks to Dandelions LMAO great tips on that post

Jello Hard Candy

Most hard candies call for corn syrup, but since I was out and I have 3 children home I decided to experiment and make something fun! Here is what you need: 2 Cups of Sugar 2 Cups of Water 1 Package Sugar Free Jello A candy Thermometer Making candy is a pretty tricky process and trust me I messed up a batch or two getting this to work right.lol Put the sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium whisking well till the sugar is dissolved. Stirring pretty regularly to help the sugar from burning. As the sugar begin to boil turn the heat up to high. Watch your thermometer when the candy reaches 230 pour in the jello continuing to mix. Pour this mixture immediately into a cake pan that is lined with parchment paper of you can rub a little veggie oil in it. The candy will continue to cook as it melts anything over 230 you will be left with a burnt candy that tastes like licorice.lol After you candy is cooled completely turn it out onto a cookie sheet and break apart :O) I li

#Cozycatfurniture Growing up Kitty with Ginger

It has been so many years since we have had a kitten around the house I think I had forgotten just how active and amazing they are! I am sure many of you have seen me talk about Ginger our baby. She is FeLV positive, and just days short of her 7 month birthday. We also have 2 other boys with are getting up there in age. Thomas has always been a scratcher and I admit I had never thought about getting a kitty tree before this. Earlier in the month a great opportunity to review the Kitty Condo Tree from   Cozy Cat Furniture came about I thought oh great Ginger will have a place to nap, play, learn, and most importantly SCRATCH!      It Arrived in a box which I have to admit scared me a bit at first, it was much small then I thought.....was the tree smaller....was this one of those "some adult assembly required" items? Luckily it was easy to put together and came out so much sturdier then I had expected.  Even before we could give the word go Ginger was eager to play a

The Children's Place Review and Giveaway

Recently I was lucky enough to be given a chance to review The Children's Place . With summer time in full force here in West Texas getting some new summer time clothing was not only a needed thing but a fun thing to do. We decided to try out The Children's Place online ordering. I had never done this before and with a packed schedule it was very handy! My daughter loved sitting don and being able to pick out an entire outfit for under $25. In fact she was not only able to get an out fit but to additional pairs of shorts! Not only was ordering fast and easy but we received our clothing in 2 days. Considering we hit a record high 103 degrees yesterday it came none to soon! Here is the adorable outfit that she picked out :O) she had to model it of course! Butterfly Shirt $6; Matching Shorts $6;Flip Flops to go with her out fit $3.50. The excitement of picking her outfit herself Priceless. She really had so much fun with this and she loves her new flips flops(because the
