With the temperatures reaching 87 degrees today I have certainly not been in the mood for anything hot! So I decided today was dessert day because I can cool this down and enjoy it after we were done on the roof!
2 Tablespoons of Butter
8 Eggs, beaten
2 Cups of Hal-and-half
2 Cups of Whole Milk
1 Cup of Sugar
This was actually easier then I thought it would be, although I'm sure not as healthy as I could have made it.lol Use the butter to grease the inside of your crockpot. In a mixing bowl mix all the ingredients well, then pour into your crockpot. Cover and let cook for about 4 hours, before turning off make sure your custard is set. Then turn pot off and uncover, let set for at least an hour at room temperature. I then put mine in the fridge to make nice and cold Mmmm.... You can top it with whatever you chose. Some good toppings are whipped cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg :O)
