Day 20 Crockpot Challenge Peanut Butter Cookie Bars

Now don't freak out on me :O) yes I said cookies in the crockpot! Best thing yet, they were so fast and easy, I even mixed them in the crockpot. Here is what you need:

1 Stick of Butter
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar (packed)
1 Egg
2 1/3 Cup Flour
1 Teaspoon Vanilla

Now I simply threw everything my my crockpot and mixed it with my blender :O) If your blender does not have rubber on the beaters then I recommend mixing it in a bowl. Then simply pressed it into the crockpot. Take 4 paper towels and put them under the lid but not touching the dough. Turn on low for two hours and walk away. After two hours turn your crockpot off and remove the lid. Serve when cooled(or when hot they just may not come out good yet) By the way make sure to press it good it does not spread like in the oven :O)

Homemade Fly Traps

We all love summer but as the weather gets warmer the flies get worse and worse. We have a bush out front of our house that I swear just attracts every fly in town! I wanted to get rid of them but I didn't want to kill all the wonderful butterflies it also attracts. So I went about finding a new way to kill them all. I had some empty Tazo tea bottles I simply poked a pen sized whole in the top, added 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of syrup. Now I do find that these work better if you place them in the sun :O) If you want to use a bigger container simply multiply the ingredients. Make sure your hole is only about the size of a pen cap! Then they can't seem to get back

Putting On Girl Scout Badges With A Flat Iron

I love helping all my little daisies earn badges, but as a mom I hate putting them on. Lol I saw an idea on Pinterest a while back to use a flat iron so I thought I'd give it a try.  It worked really well but I do have a couple suggestions. First make sure your badge  is exactly where you want them. Unlike an iron this causes the glue to melt very fast! Second count I 3-4 and it is probably done! Lastly you will likely have to apply pressure to the end pinching it tight. Overall it worked very well and I will probably keep putting badges on this way :)
