Chocolate Covered Peeps

With Easter just around the corner the parties and crafts have begun! I found this the other day from a  fellow blogger and thought wow what a great idea! Chocolate peeps seem to be the new craze in the Peep industry but boy are they expensive. Better yet when making them at home you can come up with so many different varieties. all you need is Chocolate chips, peeps and any sprinkles or toppings you can chose.
I started by melting the chocolate chips. It was really simple I used my microwave and it took about 90 seconds, stopping every 30 seconds to stir. Just be sure you use a bowl that does not get hot! I burnt myself pretty After they are melted simply take you Peeps and dip them in the melted chocolate, using a spoon to cover the edges, then apply your sprinkles. Homemade Fly Traps

We all love summer but as the weather gets warmer the flies get worse and worse. We have a bush out front of our house that I swear just attracts every fly in town! I wanted to get rid of them but I didn't want to kill all the wonderful butterflies it also attracts. So I went about finding a new way to kill them all. I had some empty Tazo tea bottles I simply poked a pen sized whole in the top, added 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of syrup. Now I do find that these work better if you place them in the sun :O) If you want to use a bigger container simply multiply the ingredients. Make sure your hole is only about the size of a pen cap! Then they can't seem to get back

Putting On Girl Scout Badges With A Flat Iron

I love helping all my little daisies earn badges, but as a mom I hate putting them on. Lol I saw an idea on Pinterest a while back to use a flat iron so I thought I'd give it a try.  It worked really well but I do have a couple suggestions. First make sure your badge  is exactly where you want them. Unlike an iron this causes the glue to melt very fast! Second count I 3-4 and it is probably done! Lastly you will likely have to apply pressure to the end pinching it tight. Overall it worked very well and I will probably keep putting badges on this way :)
