Quick and easy meat loaf!

  I have many times been complemented on my meat loaf.  Everyone always asks what is in it.  They insist that it must be difficult to taste so good. Well with three children who has the time to do anything that wastes time???  I know I sure don't :OP and best of all it is CHEAP!  This recipe feeds 3-4 adults for about $3 depending on the kind of meat you use.

MEATLOAF!

1 pound ground beef(I use 80/20 because I think it needs the extra fat you can use any kind)
1/2 cup spaghetti sauce(any kind, use what you have around)
1 Egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs(I use Italian bread crumbs store brand)
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  Like all my recipes this one is simple. Throw it all in a bowl. Then with your hands mix everything thoroughly. You don't want to be able to see the different colors in the meat you want it all one color.  The mixture will be pretty wet so if it is dry add some more sauce.  Once it is done take a baking pan(you want something with sides, the meat will drip fat) and put the mixture in the pan.  Form into a loaf.  Place in 300 degree oven UNCOVERED for 60 minutes.  At 30 minutes there will be fat in the bottom of the  pan, I like to drain this off so the whole thing can get a good crust on it.  Put it back in the oven uncovered and turn the oven up to 350 degrees. check every 15 minutes till the outside has a nice crust.
