Tis the Season

Sometimes times get tough and money gets tight.  Recipes in a jar are a great way to save a little money and gift people something from the heart.  They can also be a great way to prepare some items for yourself and save time :O).  Here are a couple of great recipes that everyone will love.
Hot Chocolate Jar Mix Recipe
Ingredients:
1½ cups skim milk powder
1½ cups white sugar
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa
¾ cup non-dairy creamer

To Make this Jar Gift:
Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir well. For a finer mix, combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and mix well. Store in an air tight container.

Directions:(print these out and use as a tag)
Place 2 or 3 tablespoons in a mug and add boiling water. 



Butterscotch Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup crispy rice cereal
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup rolled oats

So if you are anything like me you bought a turkey that is WAY to big for your family.  So here we were 5 days after Thanksgiving and I STILL have left over turkey.  A couple of bitter cold nights gave me the idea that I should make some tasty turkey noodle soup.  So I thought I would share with you my recipe in case you are left with more turkey then your stomachs can handle.

TASTY TURKEY NOODLE SOUP Ingrediants 12 cups of water Chicken bouillon Left over celery stocks 2 cups Carrots 4 cups left over turkey 1/2 bag of egg noodles 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

This recipe can be made in two different ways, in a pot or in a crockpot.  The recipe will be the same regardless. However if you chose to make this in a crockpot reserve noodles till about an hour before you will serve it.  To make the soup is simple dice your carrots, celery and turkey into bite size pieces.  Prepare Your water with your chicken bouillon to the package directions.  Place the remaining ingredien…
